The Vice President of the Republic, in charge of Defence and State Security, H.E. Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, has instructed officials to prepare a plan to create an urban centre in Ciudad de la Paz bringing together banks, shops, businesses, embassies, the cathedral and other services needed by the population.
During a meeting with Public Works officials and the multisectoral commission, participants examined the allocation of land for these buildings. To assess the location of each building and the overall layout before approving the project, the Vice President requested a three-dimensional model.
The initiative aims to make daily life easier for people who live and work in La Paz by bringing essential services closer to them, allowing them to shop, carry out banking transactions and complete administrative procedures without having to travel to other cities.
The meeting also reviewed proposals from three companies interested in building the headquarters of the Constitutional Court. The Vice President asked them to submit their projects and budgets so that the offers can be assessed and the one offering the best conditions selected.
H.E. Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue stressed the importance of carefully planning every construction project in Ciudad de la Paz, one of the country’s major development projects, to avoid mistakes that could generate unnecessary costs in the future.
